The Annual General Meeting of the Human Rights Lawyers Association, which will include the election of a new Executive Committee and new Young Lawyers’ Committee, will be held on Wednesday 22nd January 2020 at Hogan Lovells, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2FG.

 

The AGM is a great opportunity to catch up with other members, gain an insight into the HRLA’s work over the past year and take part in the shaping of the work ahead. The AGM is open to all members of the HRLA and we hope you can join us to hear from our guest speaker The Rt. Hon. Lord Justice Singh.

Voting for the 2020 Young Lawyers Committee is NOW OPEN. HRLA members are encouraged to read through the details of each candidate below, complete the ballot paper and email it to administrator@hrla.org.uk. Please vote for your preferred 8 candidates. Deadline for email votes is 20th January 2020 at 10pm. You do not need to complete an email ballot if you are attending the AGM.

While the ballot remains anonymous, voters must provide their full name in the submitting email. This will be used the verify HRLA members ONLY and will not be shared with anyone beyond the HRLA administrator.

All nominees were asked to submit an events pitch as part of the nomination process. The task is designed to replace the traditional hustings that formerly took place at the AGM.
