The HRLA Judicial Review Moot Competition 2020,
organised by the Young Lawyers Committee
The deadline for written submissions was 23:00 on Monday 12 October 2020.
The best eight teams of two were invited to apply for permission at a virtual hearing, kindly hosted by UCL Laws, on 12 November 2020 in front of human rights practitioners
The two teams with the highest scores for their oral permission application went on to compete at the Royal Courts of Justice on 2 December 2020 in the substantive Judicial Review.
Applicants were were students (whether full-time or part-time) undertaking an undergraduate degree in law or certain postgraduate studies in law (LLM, GDL, BPTC or LPC). Those who have already begun their period of recognised training as either a barrister or solicitor; been called to the Bar; or admitted as solicitors are ineligible.
