HRLA Corporate Membership Scheme

The HRLA Corporate Membership Scheme was established in 2009 to offer legal firms and chambers the opportunity of multiple memberships on a fixed annual rate. Corporate members receive the following benefits:

Corporate membership enables legal firms and chambers to meet their legal staff’s annual CPD requirements. It provides a valuable opportunity to enhance staff training and development whilst engaging with a broad cross section of the legal community in some of the most important discussions and debates regarding the promotion and protection of human rights in the UK.
The HRLA now has a wide range of corporate members including:

1 Crown Office Row
1 Mitre Court Buildings
1 Pump Court
25 Bedford Row
3 Raymond Buildings
Atlantic Chambers
Blackstone Chambers
Clifford Chance
Doughty Street Chambers
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer
Garden Court Chambers
Matrix Chambers
One Brick Court
Arden Chambers
Monckton Chambers

We are tremendously grateful for the generous support and assistance provided by our corporate members.

If you would like to discuss the benefits of becoming a corporate member of the HRLA, please email Alison Gerry, HRLA Chair at a.gerry@doughtystreet.co.uk or Saadia Khan, the HRLA Executive Committee member responsible for the corporate membership scheme, at s.khan@bindmans.com

Sponsorship of HRLA Bursary Scheme

Corporate members are also invited to sponsor the HRLA Bursary Scheme. The Scheme was established in 2006 to support law students (including recent graduates) to undertake unfunded or low paid short-term work related to UK human rights law but who are constrained from doing so because of their lack of financial means. Each year the HRLA provides around 5 awards from an annual bursary fund of between £4,000 and £6,000.

In return for sponsorship of the HRLA Bursary Scheme, the HRLA is pleased to nominate one of the bursary awards in the name of the corporate member.

We are tremendously grateful to Lexis Nexis for generously sponsoring the 2010 HRLA Bursary Scheme.

If you would like to discuss sponsoring the HRLA Bursary Scheme, please email Alison Gerry, HRLA Chair at a.gerry@doughtystreet.co.uk or Gemma Hobcraft, the HRLA Executive Committee member responsible for the bursary scheme, at g.hobcraft@doughtystreet.co.uk.
